Lynne Okon Scholnick
Lynne Okon Scholnick is a Jungian-oriented psychotherapist whose personal focus is on her own spiritual awareness and growth. She believes that as one moves toward wholeness and individuation, creative energy is released. Poetry was the first expression in her process. She then created masks which represented aspects
of her dreams. This led to the realization that her joy is working in three dimensions and she turned to sculpting.
“ Subject matter for my bronze and stone sculpture emanates from the psyche and issues of concern to me. I am often surprised and delighted with what the psyche chooses to focus on. “
More recently, she has worked with paint and enjoys abstract images which she paints on canvas and on wood. She enjoys playing with negative space by connecting canvases or pieces of found wood and creating the spaces.
“ Each turn in the road is viewed as an adventure toward challenge and growth.”
